How do I know what size AC I need?

Size is determined by a Manual J load calculation — not just square footage. We factor in your home's insulation, window area, orientation, ceiling height, and local climate. An oversized unit short-cycles and leaves your home humid. An undersized unit runs constantly and never catches up. We size every system correctly.

What SEER rating should I choose?

SEER 16–18 is the sweet spot for most CT and NY homes. It's meaningfully more efficient than the minimum without the premium price of 20+ SEER equipment. We'll run the payback numbers with you so you can make an informed decision.

Do you handle permits?

Yes — we pull all required permits in Fairfield County CT and Westchester County NY and coordinate inspections. You don't have to deal with any of it.

How long does installation take?

Most central AC replacements take one day. New installations requiring significant ductwork modifications may take two days. We'll tell you exactly what to expect in your estimate.

What's the difference between central AC and a mini-split?

Central AC uses your existing ductwork to cool your whole home from one system. A ductless mini-split serves one or more zones without ducts — ideal for additions, older homes, or spaces where running ducts isn't practical. We install both; we'll help you decide what makes sense for your home.
