Equipment Selection

We recommend the right brand and capacity for your application — Mitsubishi, Daikin, or Fujitsu depending on the use case and budget.

Installation

Indoor head mounted, refrigerant line set run, outdoor unit placed and connected. Single-zone install typically takes 3–5 hours.

Startup & Training

We charge the system, verify performance, and walk you through the remote, Wi-Fi app, and operating modes before we leave.

Do mini-splits work as heaters in CT and NY winters?

Yes — modern hyper-heat mini-splits from Mitsubishi and Daikin operate efficiently down to -13°F. They're well-suited for Northeast winters as primary or supplemental heat in most applications.

How many zones can one outdoor unit handle?

Multi-zone systems can support 2–8 indoor heads from a single outdoor unit — each independently controlled. We design systems based on your home's actual layout.

Do mini-splits qualify for tax credits?

Yes. High-efficiency heat pump mini-splits qualify for the federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit — up to 30% of equipment and installation cost. Utility rebates from Eversource, UI, and Con Edison may also apply.

How noisy are mini-splits?

Very quiet. Most indoor units operate at 19–26 dB — quieter than a whisper. Outdoor units are also significantly quieter than traditional condensers.

Can I add zones later?

Yes — if we install a multi-zone outdoor unit upfront, indoor heads can be added later. We can design the system with future expansion in mind from day one.
