How It Works

Our Process

Simple, transparent, no surprises.

01
Load Calculation & System Design
We calculate your heating and cooling loads, assess your home's insulation, and design a system sized for CT/NY climate — not generic regional averages.
02
Equipment & Configuration
Central heat pump or ductless? Dual-fuel hybrid with existing gas backup? We'll walk you through the options and what makes financial sense for your home.
03
Installation
Outdoor unit placed and mounted, indoor components connected, refrigerant charged and verified. We pull all required permits and coordinate inspections.
04
Rebate Documentation
We document the installation for your federal 25C tax credit claim and assist with utility rebate applications where applicable.

Call Us
Do heat pumps actually work in CT and NY winters?
Yes — modern cold-climate heat pumps operate efficiently down to -13°F. Models from Mitsubishi, Bosch, and Carrier are specifically engineered for Northeast winters. We don't install systems that can't handle the climate.
What tax credits are available?
The federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit covers 30% of heat pump installation costs, up to $2,000 per year. Eversource and UI offer additional rebates in CT. Con Edison offers rebates in NY. We'll help you document everything.
What's a dual-fuel hybrid system?
A hybrid pairs a heat pump with your existing gas furnace. The heat pump runs efficiently in mild weather; the furnace handles the coldest days. It's often the most cost-effective upgrade for homes with working ductwork.
Is a heat pump more expensive to install than central AC?
A heat pump costs more upfront than a straight AC replacement, but replaces both your AC and provides significant heating — which changes the comparison. With available rebates and credits, the effective cost is often competitive.
How long do heat pumps last?
15–20 years for the outdoor unit is typical with proper maintenance. Ductless systems often last longer. Annual tune-ups are the most important thing you can do to maximize equipment life.
